Wilburn Gene Anthony

Wilburn Gene Anthony passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, Texas at the age of 94.

Gene was born March 26, 1930 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Lonnie Anthony and Grace Lillian (Taylor) Anthony. Gene graduated from Holdenville High School. He served his country from 1950-1952 in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Mary Ellen Knutz on July 2, 1954. Gene retired from General Motors after 31 years of service in the Parts Department. Gene enjoyed his time with family and friends. Gene is preceded in death by his parents, and wife Mary Ellen Anthony. He is survived by his son Michael Anthony of Pantego, Texas. Funeral service was held 10:30am, Tuesday, April 2nd, at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Holdenville, Oklahoma with Pastor Dane Robinson officiating.

Interment followed at Holdenville Cemetery.

Services were under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
