Our sympathy is extended to the family of Vivian Davis

Vivian Anne Davis passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 62. Vivian was born August 11, 1961 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Forrest Peck and Nelda (Bishop) Peck. She graduated high school and then attended Voc-Tech Nursing in Ada. Vivian was working at Holdenville General Hospital and it was there she met her love Marty Davis. She married Marty Davis June 12, 1992 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She gave birth to her daughter Paula Sankey, who was a preemie and a son Arles Wells, whom she donated a kidney to him in 1995. Vivian worked in the nursing field for 35 years.

Patricia Ann Berry was born September 13, 1949, to Lessie Mae Combs and Matherine Yarbrough in Wetumka, Oklahoma. She completed her education in the Wetumka Public School system. Patricia was raised in the Church of God in Christ on the north side of Wetumka, later becoming a member of First Baptist Church North, then finally Living Water PHC, all in Wetumka.

Hughes County Tornado Leaves Devastating Damage

As the EF-3 tornado ripped through Hughes County, the evening of April 27, 2024, it unleashed its fury on everything in its path for 34 miles developing in Spaulding, traveling north-northeast hitting areas just west of Holdenville. The tornado continued north-northeast crossing Highway 9 west of Wetumka and then north crossing into Okfuskee County dissipating south of Okemah. The estimated peak wind was 140 to 145 mph.
